@laura_love, that's why it advisable to get a good doctor who cares enough. One who won't just tell u " it's just baby fat" infant obesity leads to childhood obesity. I don't know why some people don't get this. The little girl I mentioned used to bed fed all kinds of fatty stuff. Her parents were just so happy to see her eat "grown up food" smh

@alhynele, I worked with a girl who said her oldest was 30lbs at 1. He's now 10 and weighs 175lbs, I think. So it makes me wonder. She was apparently told that she could start feeding him baby food at 4 months. So idk if that'd be part of it or not. I don't think any dr's have even mentioned putting him on a diet, though.

I used to be a nanny to a 10 month old who weighed 30 pounds. She was so heavy! I hated having to pick her up. She had started walking too. Anyway her doctors were like " this baby is obese" so they put her on a diet to help her lose weight. Which her parents didn't bother to follow. It's so unhealthy

I haven't taken my little one for her 1 yr checkup yet due to insurance problems, but she's been the same way. Ppl think she's always too young to be walking. She's got some chunky thighs compared to when she was born, though. Haha @jamie_renea03

She's always been petite lol my daughter will be 4 a week from today and she just started wearing size 3T haha she has high energy all the time and according to her doctor she's small for her age @laura_love

my one n half year old is 26.2 .. I think at birth he was a big baby maybe.. but I think it is much.. but hey the doc said its fine..

once he starts walking he will loose a lot. My friends baby was like she was thick not huge looking just thick . But once she talking walking she looked so much smaller.

If the doctor says it's fine I wouldn't worries about it. If he's really tall then it makes sense.
