Does it make sense to still by a convertible crib? or there is no point? I'm a 1st time mom so I have no idea what route to go 😕

I have an 8 month old, when she was a newbirn, we barely left the house but I bundled her with blankets and layers. now that she is older what is an appropriate winter coat? do I get a peat got or just a thick fleece jacket?
