is it normal to not feel pain from tearing after a week?

So, my Lillybug likes Sublime. I mean I think that's what it means when she immediately stops crying as soon as Santeria comes on. Like father, like daughter.

Does anyone have any advice on the discomfort and pain of third degree tearing? Also, I'm terrified I'm going to mess up the stitches somehow.

a quick recap of L&D while it's still fresh in my memory. I called the doctor around 2:00am, April 22. I told her I was having strong contractions about 5 minutes apart but only lasting about 30 seconds. She suggested I have a warm shower. well that made things intensify. I stayed in bed fighting each contraction until 2:37, and called the doctor back. that's when she had me go in. Lillian Patricia-Marie Martins was born this morning at 6:33. 6lbs 10oz, 20" long. I was in labor for 3 hours and pushed for 1 hour.

contractions are 3 to 5 mins apart, lasting 20 to 40 seconds. an 8 on the pain scale. they just sent me home at 9 cause I was only having mild contractions at 1cm. should I call to go back in? I can't breathe when the contractions hit and I can't sleep at all with them coming as frequently as they are.

just got off the phone with my doctor. my bloody show has started and I'm having cramps in my back every 20-30 mins but they only last a second. feels almost period crampy with (TMI) diarrhea. she said if there's more fluid or bleeding or contractions 5 mins apart for an hour to come in, otherwise she will see me Tuesday.
