Summer break childcare: What did your parents do?
☀️Summer school break during your childhood:
For those of you that did not go to a program or summer camps. What did your parents do for you during the break?
We either stayed home alone for a few hours when we were a bit older but when we were younger I remember going to elderly people’s homes from our church group and those were so boring.
Sometimes my neighbors would watch us too if my mother had to go places without dragging us 2 along.

We were shipped off to our grandparents for the summer. They were very active grandparents. We travelled all over the USA and have so many memories that I cherish. We did so so much stuff. We will be celebrating my grandpas 92nd Saturday. My grandma passed in December. They were/are the best people ever.
No camp here.
Usually stayed home alone for a few hours, I was maybe around 12ish. Before that I did have a babysitter.
Stayed home and watched my younger brother. Started when I was 9 and he was 4. Before that we went to work with my mom and stayed in the back room with a little tv
We did too. We watched our baby brother all of the time.
We were either with my grandma or my aunt until we were old enough to stay home alone. Then we were left to our own devices. 😅
I went to camp one time. For the most part we just stayed home. And I had a shitty home so my ass was outside till dark 😂
Occasionally my grandparents would take us for a week and we'd go to holiday world but they treated us different when my cousins were born because my uncle was my grandpa's favorite
We literally only went to the inground pool in our backyard, movies or the mall. We always vacationed the same week to the same place. It was like groundhog day.
I'm a stay at home now so I really put in the effort to do things besides swim in our pool
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
