I have this vision of combining a green chili chicken enchilada & a tamale into one… I need to make this so I can stop thinking about it. I have literally been thinking about this combination for a whole week and it’s like all I can think about 😹

😂 I know how that is. I was like that with “italian enchiladas” as I was calling them a few weeks ago. I made savory crepes and rolled italian sausage and ricotta up in them and topped it with marinara sauce and mozzarella. They were pretty good!

You need to look up Hallacas, it’s like a tamale kinda…similar concept different ingredients but soo freaking good. My mil has been teaching me to make them I’m hoping soon I’ll be able to make em on my own 🤣

I had a friend in high school who made these & they were so dang moist!! We make tamels every year and they are never as moist as the hallacas, it’s gotta be the plantain leaves.

they’re so bomb!! My mil makes like 100 around Xmas and we get some but we eat them right up 🤣 I have to learn or it’ll die with her 😩😩 it’s mainly how she cooks the meat, idk what she does but ugh I’d commit murder for Hallacas 🤪
