So my son woke up from his nap, said he wanted to try the potty, peed in the toilet, and now refuses to put a diaper back on. So I guess we’re potty training?! I’m nervous. 😅 Any tips and tricks?

I am determined and driven for success FAILURE isn't an option for me. I potty trained my oldest at 9 months old. My 2 middle son's were more difficult they were between 18 months and 2 years old. My baby boy was showing interest in potty training, I decided to buy him a potty chair. Potty training tips 1.) Don't rush your child 2.)Don't yell at your child 3.) Don't punish your child for having accidents 4.) Don't give you child candy 5.) Don't compare other children to your child 6.) Do praise your child 7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty. 8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty 9.)Don't criticize your child 10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child. Let him guide you. Just remind him to try every 30 minutes until he starts going on his own. I waited til my youngest wanted to potty train and it was the easiest job ever. I semi forced it on my oldest and had to train her twice. Don’t get discouraged if at some point he decides nah I’ll use a diaper. Just give him some time to come around again.

Sounds like a great plan to me! I don’t think he’s fully ready just yet. I was trying to convince him to go again after 30-45 minutes, and he just dropped down to the floor and screamed at me, then told me to put a diaper back on. 😂 Then asked to use the potty again like 5 minutes after that! 🤷🏻♀️ I’m just letting him do his thing for now.
