My daughter, two nieces, and two nephews have all had it. It's going to protect them against the #1 transmissible STD, prevent penile and vaginal cancer, and it's been around a long time and is safe. Studies show kids use less contraception than we did because AIDS has become treatable (we will see what happens when the current administration stops funding research/paying for high risk) but for my medical/scientific family it's a no brainer. The University of Minnesota did a great article on how 20 years after the first recipients got the vax, they are an 80% drop in precancerous incidence. That's huge.

I got them as a preteen or teenager.. I definitely will be having my kids get it also.

I got it as a preteen and plan to get it for my kids. Especially because last I knew there is no test for boys/men to see if they have HPV.
