As a follow up - Had a staff member who likes Trump telling me about how her boyfriend is excited about all these cuts and getting rid of “waste” so I very innocently said “omg does he know your whole job is federally funded?”

This part. The "waste" is going to hit home real fast for a lot of people who had no idea how their lifestyle is funded. How their kid's services are funded. And it's hitting red states hardest. Alabama is just.now finding out their university that has a major medical research program is part of the NIH cuts. We're going into a very bad place. I know you aren't religious, but I sure hope God can save us because science no longer can.

7 million students receiving services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act who will no longer receive additional services including occupational and speech therapy. So this is what people are applauding. America first but fuck those kids. I could go on and on. The sad thing is the folks who applaud it aren't cognitively blessed enough to figure it out. When it effects them, they will believe anything but the truth. Somehow it will be Kamala's fault, Joe's fault, just watch.

@jenx sometimes I feel like trump came back to give America the middle finger, honestly. He didn't get consecutive terms, he had the January 6 thing, and has felony convictions. This is payback. This is not about making America great. I think he's intentionally destroying America.
There's no savior for us. We just have to try and stay alive for 4 years, then hope a lesson will be learned and do better with the next president.
