Why Is This Summer Heat Wave So Unbearable?
Another miserably hot, summer day. My kids haven’t even wanted to go outside for the last 3 days now bc of the awful heat. Not that I blame them but they’re getting stir crazy inside & there isn’t much else to do that they haven’t already done a 100x. I just wish this stupid heat wave would pass so we can actually do something outside of the house without feeling like we’re going to throw up from the weather.
I’m frustrated & I know all our friends are too bc their kids are also avoiding the outside & it’s just too freaking much. I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again…Summer weather is the absolute worst & we are all miserable over here! 🫠🥵😒

Our closest trampoline park or Chuck E. Cheese is over an hour away. We’ve been to the library everyday for something. But they get bored there quickly.

Ughhh…your kids are even more outdoorsy than mine so that’s definitely saying something. 😩😩😩 I hope you survive this next week with your sanity bc I’m close to losing mine. Lol
It is absolutely miserable. 😩 I thought I could at least enjoy the coolness of nighttime, but even by 8 pm, it's still hot and humid.
I knowww!! We usually have summer night fires & hang out in the evening & we literally cannot do that right now. Its annoying!!
We’ve been swimming (in a small pool in our backyard) and they’ve played in the sprinkler and had water balloon fights.
It’s been hot but I know it’s only getting hotter so we’ve been trying to make the best of it.
It’s definitely hotter where you are. Idk how you’re even doing that. My boys are like straight up refusing to be outside this week unless absolutely necessary. I’ve been forcing them out for about an hour every morning around 6:30 just to get them out of the house for a short bit but it’s already hot by then too.
@love_linds, the humidity has been awful for sure! When they are inside I make them read or go through toys because I refuse to let them watch tv or play devices all day. So they choose the water play over anything else. I even put glow sticks in the pool in the evenings. Sunday through Tuesday is expected to actually hit 100 so I may lax a little on the outside part. We’ve been 90’s feel like 102.

My crazy ass took a small hike in bewteen my double shift yesterday. It was scorching and I had long pants on. 💀Forgot a change of clothing.
I am gonna enjoy the holiday today and relax. It is my day off.

Honest to goodness, it's like walking into a bowl of soup outside, and I don't mean at 1 pm, I am talking 7 pm. I'm trying to keep the ac on a reasonable level so we don't have a brown out or power outage, but this is crap. We had terrible storms, had a huge tree limb come down in the street we had to go take care of until 10 pm the other night....frick this, man.
Literally!! It’s past just being hot. It’s gross outside. We’ve been going outside at like 6:30am for like an hour just so the kids get a little outside time but it’s already so humid by then that it’s hard to enjoy.
I’m sorry you guys got the storms. They missed us for the most part. I’m sure the rain made the humidity 100x worse for you too!!
My poor AC is working overtime. I’ve been keeping the blinds & curtains pulled everywhere I can bc if I didn’t, the AC would never kick off. It was just SO NICE a couple weeks ago…where did that weather go?! 😩
Summer break is going fast & the kids are getting frustrated that they can’t play outside for long without feeling really crappy & I’m frustrated bc I have to hear them whine about wanting to be outside but that it’s too hot. And it’s a never ending cycle. Send help, I’m not okay. lol

IUI Monday!!
So today I went in for my routine bloodwork and ultrasound, and found out that I have three follicles at 17mm! Plus another two at 15mm. When leaving the clinic my FS said to take another dose of gonal-f and come back tomorrow to check to see how big they got and that we would do the iui on Wednesday. Well, after getting home, taking my gonal-f and going out to shovel snow (lol) I get a call saying that I am SURGING!!! I haven't ovulated on my own, or even come close to it in years...
