So my bonus son (my oldest sons brother on his dads side) graduated 8th grade last night and apparently they don’t do cap and gowns anymore here for the middle school kids. I thought was absolutely crazy.

so the high school that I went to and my oldest goes too just built this 2.5 million science center a couple years ago. We have two high schools an east and a west. East used to be all 4 grades well now that school just for freshman that’s how many kids there are. When I graduated in 07 we had like 300 in our class. My son’s gonna be a junior his class alone had 1500 kids.

that is absolutely nuts!!!! I can even wrap my head around that many in one grade!!!! I graduated with 34! 😂😂😂

I know it’s absolutely crazy. They also built a daycare in the school. They used to just have a parenting class that they got the kids from the daycare across the street nope they built one in the school.

Our school does nothing for that, they used to do this for the kindergarteners, but last year decided to no longer do it. I was so upset!

I remember we had ceremony of some sort, but no caps and gowns. But that was also literally 20 years ago when I finished 8th grade. 👵🏻
