Why Does a 1-Mile Ambulance Ride Cost $23,000 in America?
Last Monday I got in a car wreck with all the kids and had to be taken to the ER since I still had staples from my csection. Fast forward to yesterday I got a freaking bill for $23,000 dollars 🥴 the ambulance ride wasnt even 1 mile away and all they did was a CT scan, I even refused all pain meds & was only there for about 4 hours. The medical system in America is highway robbery. It’s insane 😵💫😮💨

Glad you’re ok! Will auto insurance cover some? I don’t know if you were at fault or not, but hopefully there’s coverage for some of that!

The insurance will cover it and I think the person whose fault it was covers it. Thank god it wasn’t my fault I had a green light and traffic was flowing, he was stuck in the middle and went on a red light!

same thing happened to me February 8th. I had a green light and someone ran a red light and tboned me. My car was totaled as well. It's such a headache 😩

Oof. Get in contact with an attorney ASAP especially if the other person was at fault. Even if it’s just the other person being held liable to cover medical bills.

Already done ✅ I went through this like 6 years ago when I was pregnant with my five-year-old, I was rear-ended in a parking lot and the guy tried to tell me it was my fault while I was at a stop sign. Ppl suck 🫠

omg that makes me angry. The guy who hit us last year claimed he wasn’t at fault too (his facebook was public and he admitted fault 💅🤣)

Thanks! Definitely very scary especially having a newborn in the car, when the fire department pulled my five year-old out, he looked at me as I was getting wheeled into the ambulance and said by mom I love you. I’m glad you didn’t die and I’ll see you after you be out of surgery.
I didn’t even need surgery😂 lol
