but the new RSV vaccine was offered to me and it’s got me thinking…

Imma says do your own research and make a clear decision.
What I will say about the RSV vaccine ( trying not to be biased) is that it is 82% effective in preventing severe infections in infants when given to expecting mothers in the second half of their pregnancy. With inconsequential side effects (e.g. fatigue, headache, pain at the injection site, muscle pain, nausea, joint pain, and diarrhea).
One of the main concerns about the vaccine is a higher number of pre-term births among those who received the vaccine.
My decision on this matter is to take it at 36 weeks. I don’t feel comfortable not taking it at all because I treat babies and children with RSV and many of them do become hospitalized.

I tried to get it when I was pregnant with Ava. My doctor suggested it and then when I went to go get it I found out my insurance didn’t cover it and it was $400. I was not able to get it otherwise I would have. And Ava got RSV at two months old.
