Почему моего ребёнка не похвалили за поведение?

If your preschooler is the only one to not get a sticker for behavior, and the teacher tells your 2nd grader, not you, that it was cause he “wasn’t his best” today, which then turned into 40 minutes of violent tantrum because he wanted a sticker too, would you be pissed? I already emailed the main teacher (not the one at pickup). But, if it was so bad, why wasn’t I pulled aside? I asked him what happened, and he said it was because he didn’t stay on his mat at rest time……

Nope. If my kid is a acting up at school I do not want her rewarded for poor behavior.

In our house behavior is very important I do not wanna be in public n my kid screaming or have fits over stupid shit.

While in school I best not get told she is disrespectful to teachers

And at practice I don't wanna here ya fucking off.

At home outside that's when u let that go and yell and run rampid

Has all this happened of course there human ND they learn but im not going to condemn being wild either.

It’s the fact that the teacher said he was fine to me and told my older son right after that there was a problem today so he got excluded, that I have a problem with. I should be the one committed with, not my 7 year old.

@lizibear84, I totally agree. It’s unfair for sure. I can’t imagine how our life would be right now if I were unable to homeschool. Believe me when I say it was not a choice I made lightly or even willingly to be honest. My daughter is on the spectrum. We had daily calls home. The school literally told me that they couldn’t offer what she needed. I totally didn’t expect life to go like this so don’t get me wrong, I am certainly no enemy to the argument. The system need to be better

I feel for you both. I don't see the value in that system and how it's teaching little ones to deal with their squirrely urges and regulate their emotions. It sounds like something that would have been done 40 years ago when I was in preschool and we should have moved on from this sort of thing.

Right!? We’re fairly certain he’s adhd like his big brother, or possibly something else, so it’s really hard to expect him to get it. He really got me good today, my arm is all scratched up

It would make me feel bad. When my son first started school, I used to reach out to the teacher every so often to ask about his behavior in the classroom, because I realized they wouldn't just inform me of little challenges they faced with him. I like the opportunity to work on his behavior at home, talk to him, help him understand what is expected, etc. Overtime things got better, but it took a lot of effort from me

@lizibear84 I would be all out upset at that point. I'm actively trying to do the work at home, but you're not giving me information even when I'm requesting it. I can't find a reason why the teacher can't tell how his classroom behavior is when you're asking. I tell the teachers every year, if this thing is going to work, parents and teachers need to work together.

especially after I asked how his day was! Wasn’t until stickers were seen and my older son asked what they were for and why he didn’t have one

I sent an email to the head teacher to see what’s going on. He said the only problem was he got off his mat at rest time. That’s a ridiculous reason to exclude a child from a reward. It’s an awful system

I hated preK for my trips and I will never ever put my other 2 kids in it. Ugh seeing this brings up mom guilt for me. I hope your little understand he isn't a bad kid and he is amazing! I'll stop here. Hugs to you and him!

heck yeah. I had a pretty bad public school experience with my daughter. Can you imagine how things could be different in a world where educators were more highly valued?

I don’t ask for a full report, but don’t tell my older son there was a problem, after I already asked how his day was.

It’s proven to be an unfair system that does more damage than good.

Our school system thankfully does great with accommodations, and next year he’ll be in it. He’s too little for a diagnosis here, so we’re waiting on that a bit. I’m happy homeschooling works for you, but it’s not for us. My older son is thriving in our system

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer. My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk outside without this information. Children of color are being targeted and killed too. It’s not just adults. I let my son know we treat everyone equally and with respect. I let him know that we love everyone for their differences. In every aspect. Color, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual preference we love everyone.

This is my son Walter. Today is his birthday. He would have been five. This picture was taken when he was 16 days old. He was my first child and my only son (I now have 3 girls). He passed away the next day after this picture from congenital heart failure. It was a miracle that he lived passed 12 weeks gestation because of how severe his heart defects were. I miss him so much, I can't believe it's been 5 years. It still hurts so bad. I don't talk about him a lot out loud because I end up bawling, so i thank you for letting me share this with you ladies. You have always been nice and supportive. Happy birthday son, your mom loves you.

You can be racist towards the race of your friends. You can be racist towards your own race. You can be racist towards the race of your family. You can be racist towards the race of your spouse. You can be racist towards the race of your kids. Your racism doesn't just stop being racism because 'X' is said race. Racism is Racism. Thanks for coming to this very well needed TedTalk.
