Are you looking to just report the absence or get it excused? It can only be considered excused if you jave a doctor's note, so it won't reflect on their absences for the trimester or semester. If you're just looking to report the absence, then they are probably just wanting a call. Even if she's 5, obviously they know she's not going to forge the note but they have to keep the standard the same all around.

We use to have to fill out an online absent form, this year they have a chat for the front desk and that’s how we report absences.
