If you think you’ll need a C-section due to size you’d be surprise. My girls were 9.7 and 10.10 and I didn’t need one with either. You rarely grow a baby you can’t handle. Some people do have smaller hips and some have gd which would grow a baby larger than they can accommodate sometimes. I wouldn’t sweat it or let them fear monger you into an elective one unless it’s truly the best for you and baby. But size generally isn’t a good reason.

Why might you need a c section? You can still have a vaginal birth even if baby is big so long as there aren’t other reasons for needing a c section.

I got induced with my son because I had gestational diabetes and they said he would be around 9 or 10lbs. I had him vaginally and he was only 6lbs 7oz
