Yeah I agree. I'm the AGM so I run all the budgets and handle approving each kitchen's food ordering. Our budgets are set at $1.15 per meal

@icebergahead, That does sound amazing! My husband still makes fun of me to this day because I once ate a whole box of stuffing by myself over the course of 24 hours. 😂 It’s not my fault he procrastinated on eating some!

@whereswaldo I agree. It's really unethical. It's nation wide though, especially in low income areas. If you have 40% or higher under the poverty line you get a higher reimbursement rate.

I don’t miss this shit one bit. They’ve also raised teacher lunches to $5 a plate. Like it’s not worth $3 let alone $5.
