My niece has recently got "diagnosed" with a dairy intolerance. She only drinks almond milk. She's sleeping over tonight and my mil brought almond milk for my niece to have here. I want to tell her no.
My daughter and I have almond allergies. Like my daughter is anaphylactic. I don't want the stuff in my house 😩. Call me paranoid but I just don't want to risk it especially since we're celebrating my daughter's birthday.
I know I'll be the bad guy again if I stand my ground though. Last time my niece was totally fine when she requested it and I told her we didn't have any.

My FIL tries to feed M something with eggs in it at least 3x a year. “Want a bite of my ____?”
People being forgetful or dismissive of allergens, especially ones that cause anaphylaxis, boils my blood!

Nah, your mil can either take the almond milk home or know that she wasted $5 on something being thrown away. Niece can use another alternative or just idk not have dairy/“milk” for a day. It won’t kill her, but an allergic reaction could kill you and your daughter. That last sentence needs to be repeated to your mil btw. Inconsiderate ass.
