My two younger ones asked to walk home from school. I said it was fine I would be able to drive up and see them since I was still in the car to pick them up. They found a group of friends to walk with and as I drove up my daughter all happy waved bye to me and I broke down crying 😭. In that moment it hit me my last baby is no longer a baby, the little girl that was attached to my hip since birth is an independent 7 year old that doesn’t need or wants help from her parents. When I retold the story to my husband he just looks at her and said nope she’s still a baby 😂.
