Rosh Hashana: Challah, сладкий brisket, рыба и праздник! Как встретить еврейский Новый год дома с детьми?

Made a new batch of challah today 😁 jojo has strep unfortunately so. We needed to stay home today , so I went to work on cooking because Friday night is rosh hashana ! its the Jewish new year . We eat sweet foods so we can have a sweet new year. It’s a time where we look to be better and pray in the temple everyday ( it’s a 3 day holiday) because this is the time of year where gd decided who lives, how much money a person makes , how their health will be and so on . So we also repent up until Yom Kippur which is a fast that will happen shortly after rosh hashana ! My husband flew to Israel to pray and I’m ganna go to some friends ! But we’re doing a potluck so I made some sweet brisket , fish and challah 😋 also!! Side note the reason these challahs are round because it’s signifying the fact that the year is over and we’re back full circle for another great year !!
