Gallbladder attack or something else? Throwing up stops the pain, but is it normal? Pain near sternum and shoulders
Help me out y’all. So I have what I think/thought are gallbladder attacks but as soon as I throw up I’m immediately better. I was reading online that during a gallbladder attack if you vomit, it won’t stop the pain. So now Im wondering if I’m really having an attack. It hurts like where my sternum is, my right side doesn’t hurt. The pain sometimes travels to my shoulders/should blades. It’ll have me in excruciating pain but once I can throw up I’m okay and the pain is gone. My crab stuffed salmon trigged it today, Jalapeños caused it the last time, I’ve had it from sausage, burgers etc.

It sounds more like a hiatal hernia to me, especially with particulate and spicy foods exacerbating it and the pain in the neck and shoulder area.

I have this and it does sound very similar to what she’s going through. I’m on a daily medication for it and it does help.

Does yours feeling better after you throw up?

it depends. Sometimes it is but once in awhile it would be worse. But I can definitely feel it when it pushes out and it can’t be ignored.
I can also say I had my gallbladder removed many years ago and the pain from it would travel to my neck and shoulders and things that bothered me didn’t always bother someone else. My Dr also told me lettuce was usually a big trigger but it didn’t effect me.
