Anyone else kids who won't entertain themselves and expect you to do it for them? Like ah no leave mommy be.. They just had play dates on top of it... and doesnt help this weather is hot as can be.

Yes but I let her be bored unless she wants to help me do house work. Not saying I don’t play with her but I’m not playing all day everyday. No ma’am.

For me I'm trying to get my kids to play independently till their in school.. can be challenging sometimes ha ha 😂

Same.. for me I don't mind coloring with my kids and reading to them but playing is what they have eachother for I have two kid 5 and 8 can be tricky I don't have lot of money to buy stuff to make busy bags.. I'm kinda a minimalist parent. We have legos, coloring books, and books to read have a few toys but not too many.

I kind of overbuy toys cause if it means 5 mins of peace it’s good enough to me.
Have them play the floor is lava/obstacle course with pillows and blankets. Pinterest has a ton of idea for independent play.
Color a picture and cut it up like a puzzle too.

Tell them to make a blanker fort or something. Maybe that’ll entertain them for a while!

My oldest son struggles to entertain himself. He’s constantly on my heels anytime I turn around and he has all sorts of electronics, books, games, toys etc… it’s really frustrating sometimes because I lose my temper and I know he just wants my attention and to play but DANGGGG I just need 3 seconds to think sometimes.. I think it has to do with him having younger siblings and yearning for attention but idk honestly

YES! I have a 2 month old baby now and it seems like my older 2 are up my butt now more than ever!
No I can’t entertain you while I’m changing poop or my hands are full feeding baby 😭
And they hardly play with each other because they fight almost constantly
