Coast guard update on the missing submersible at 3pm ET
I’m watching now on Fox News. They have found a field of debris. Said it shouldn’t take long to identify if parts are from this or something else. I still think this is all kinds of messed up and that company needs to be shut down.

It never should of been able to operate without everything being certified safe. The families won't be able to sue Oceangate as the rich all signed waivers that mentioned death 3 times alone on the first page. The amount of money that has been spent on rescue efforts that are now likely wasted and this company will have no reparations to pay for something they knew damn well was going to happen at some point. Sad day for all those affected 😞

I can't believe they signed a waiver knowing all those damn risk. Sad situation all around.

Well at least they probably died quickly and didn’t even know it was coming.

Oh I think they knew. The pressure or the suffocating.....ekkk. A horrible way to go but they knew that getting into that tin can like wtf
Heather··
just from listening to other divers they said it would happen before your body even registered that it was happening. So that’s just what I was going off of. Either way, there is so much wrong with all of this.

Did you see how it was controlled by a $29.99 video game controller you can buy on Amazon? Like why would you let your common sense override the red flags? It's so sad, especially for the 15 year old. Sigh.
Heather··
Yes and according to the experts that’s the least concerning thing. The safety cuts they made to make it cheaper are the issue. I really hope this company is not allowed to do this anymore.
JenX··
I think it speaks to the overall engineering and build quality, all the reused parts and things like that. :(
