Yup! A lot of people think if they are using the belt path way that they don’t need to use the top tether still and that’s it’s only to be used with the latch system but that’s so wrong. Thanks for posting 😊
I was reading through the comments on this Instagram post and was mind blown. Sooo many people not knowing they had to use the top tether with the seatbelt installation and tons of people not even knowing that their car had an anchor for the tether. 😯
@ekko, is it bad to still do it even if not needed? Idk why, but I’m scared of being hit and that seat not being in use on the days the boys are with their dad. It’s loose in the car and can go flying and what if it hits you?
I totally understand this. I’m paranoid about things becoming projectiles in a crash. Could you just buckle the belts when they’re not in the car? M is still harnessed so I’m not super familiar with the high back with the belt. But some do allow it so you could google your manual to see!
ugh, k was still in a 5pt harness before the accident and insurance paid for a new seat but his dad picked a high back booster since that is what k uses in his dads van. I’m going to look up the manual when I go back out to the car to look up the seat.

🫣 that’s scary. I read the carseat booklets as if I taking a drivers test lol.

I’ve always thought this strange but my car seat actually says not to use the top tether after a certain weight. I’m very confused by that.

It took me forever to find the top tether in our Subaru. Also how to do the middle seatbelt
