Question: anyone ever have a lingering cough that’s lasted for more than 5 weeks?! I was sick weeks ago, I think I had the flu because my Covid tests were negative but I had symptoms such as a stuffy nose & cough & loss of smell for a day… I’m back to normal except for this damn cough I’ve had for this long!!! I made an appointment but won’t be seen for another 3 weeks 😒

I had a really nasty lingering one from bronchitis once. I still can wheeze a bit from it, I think it did some permanent damage.

Coughs can linger forever. It's the last symptom to leave your system.
Does it keep you up at night? Do you cough all day or mostly when laying down ?

@dope.mom oh ok. There is a viral cough remedy going around Tik tk. Cut up an orange in half. Add a little salt and honey and microwave for about 2 mins. Let it cool down a bit. Strain and drink the juice from the orange
*mullein tea is awesome too
I make mullein tea with 1 garlic clove, small piece of onion, small piece of ginger, eucalyptus, add honey and drink.

@dope.mom also I'm wondering if you may need a breathing treatments like albuterol.
Have you tried allergy medsz see if that helps?

As they said, coughs can linger…. My daughter had one a couple years ago that was lingering. Seemed to start to get a little worse though. Took her in, he said walking pneumonia! Didn’t confirm it with a chest X-ray. But gave her an antibiotic that worked. Hope you feel better!
