Нормально ли не видеть малыша на 5 неделе?

So i had the first appointment for baby and got a surprise ultrasound... I'm 5w5d along and we only saw a gestational sack it was smallish ..With my first baby i saw the yolk sack at 5w6d. And the gestational sack was bigger

So now im kinda confused 🤔 doc doesnt seem concerned he sched me to come back in 4 weeks. Where we'll draw blood and do a ultrasound for dating and viability. However i doubt my nerves will let me wait 4weeks for another ultrasound. Ill likely be at the E.R next Wednesday when i should be 7 weeks. Friday at 6weeks2days at the earliest

My question is how normal is it to not see baby at 5w5d?

I went in for my first ultrasound at 5wk3dys. I also only saw the gestational sac but no fetus. My OB had me come back in at 8wks and we were able to see baby then.

My ultrasound technician said it was fairly common at 5weeks to only see the gestational sac. I wouldn't worry until the next ultrasound or if you have any concerning symptoms.

I completely understand that the waiting is hard though, but the relief you feel when you do see the fetus is great.

Thank you, This is what I was looking for comments who had similar situations with positive outcomes. They want me to come in Friday and have bloodwork done as that's what they initially wanted to do Monday, so they have it already for my next appointment in a few weeks. my doctor will also be there so I'll get more clarity from him then.

Do you think maybe your earlier then you thought? You can have later implantation or even ovulated later then expected. I wouldn’t go to the er unless bleeding ect. I have bad anxiety to but getting a ultrasound that early you can’t expect much and know much from 5 week ultrasound when you go back at 9 weeks you will and should be able to see baby with a heartbeat. Relax and just wait it out

I'll be 10 weeks and 3days when I go back. I'm not 5 weeks

I'm 5 weeks 5days... I saw my daughter at 5w6d , at the time I thought I was 6w6d.. However she was measuring 6 days behind. So It changed my gestational age by 6 days. So it could be something like that. I would understand better at my not seeing anything before or early within the 5th week..

Unfortunately the ER won’t do anything. Your OB can and will do more than and ER, don’t waste time and resources. Like others have said, they usually don’t do an US until 8 weeks cause there isn’t much that can be done…just remember every pregnancy is different. Goodluck!

Why did the doctor have you come in at 5 weeks? This is why they don't usually see patients until 8 weeks, it's hard to determine how the fetus is doing before then. If the doctor wasn't concerned, just follow their instructions and wait.

This was just the initial appointment to do a pap and draw blood. We ended up on doing a pap then he wanted to do a ultra sound randomly? Idk? I hear y'all ..it's just Waiting through Confusion is soo much easier to tell someone then to do.

Why are you going to the ER on Wednesday? If it’s to get an ultrasound, please don’t waste emergency resources. That’s not an emergency. You’re super early and it’s normal not to see much at this point.

Personally.. it's an emergency to me... You don't know me or my anxiety levels nor how it effects me to tell me what is an isn't an emergency when it comes to my health sanity and peace of mind. Thanks however.

@tayplus2, Yeah, no… it’s not an emergency. The emergency room is for life-threatening situations. Schedule another appt with your doctor if you have anxiety about the pregnancy.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday…

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Starting TWW. Anyone else? I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
