Why would you think it would be safe to front face a 6m old baby though? I got major whiplash in my car accident last month and I’m damn near 30 with a strong neck. You’re thinking a wobbly neck baby wouldn’t be injured in even a minor accident?
If you read your car seat manual and also your state laws you will find the answer to your question. Common sense should also be used in these situations. If you lack common sense refer to the manual.
Please go talk to your local fire department or police station on car seat safety. I pray your first child is still in a carseat and is still rear facing

You got tons of advice lol the bare minimum is forward facing at 1 but most people don’t until well after 2.

Check your state laws. Mine says babies have to stay rear facing until 2.
