Рождение дочери: история успеха!

Positive birth story! Just because I like reading other peoples. My first birth I would describe as traumatic, this one was empowering! 2am I wake up with contractions 10 minutes apart. At 11am they suddenly stop and I assume it was just prodromal labor. I carried on with my day and had a nap. I woke up to some pain at 5pm and then a big sudden kick and my waters broke on the sofa which were slightly green as she had pooed inside me. We get to the hospital at 6pm and I was 7cm dilated with contractions 5 minutes apart. I had gas and air and the epidural straight away although the midwife said she didn’t think we would have time - luckily we did and by 8pm I was fully dilated. I didn’t speak and had my eyes shut the entire time, purely focusing on my breathing. They wanted a paediatrician and someone from recuss there for the birth incase baby needed some help because of the poo and wanted to wait until 9pm to start pushing. We took it slow and it didn’t hurt as much as I was scared it would, it just felt like sooo much pressure. I felt her head and she was born by 9.20pm on 23.03.23 (such a satisfying date) weighing 6lbs 13oz of pure perfection. I only needed one stitch but my placenta broke coming out so I had to have a full spinal block and go into theatre to get the rest of it out as I was haemorrhaging. I lost 1.1 litres of blood but I really didn’t care and was so unphased by it all. Baby girl had trouble latching (flat nipples) so I have been pumping and loving it. We were discharged the following night. I have 100% focused on my own mental health this time round and it’s paid off as a happy mama makes a happy baby!! 🥰
