Finally had to set boundaries and im only 6wks with baby 2. So not my first rodeo. An old friend of mine came back into my life 2 years ish ago now. She missed the entire pregnancy and early years for my daughter. But my daughter is 5, i have what i liked that worked with my daughter, and i have a pretty decent system with my daughter for her things. My daughter has a bookshelf that ranges in age books from baby to at least middle school age books. Friend says oh im gonna do busy things for your daughter and we should get rid of her older books. And dont buy the texture books for baby borrow from the library (🤢). Like 1st no please dont add more things for the 5yo. She has plenty and i have no where to store them that she wont annihilate them in 2 seconds. And 2nd we dont get rid of books in this house unless they are destroyed. And 3rd no thanks i will not be borrowing texture books from the library that other babies have chewed on. She proceeds to say she never had that issue with her nephew that she practically raised, he never put anything in his mouth. Find that very hard to believe as thats how babies explore. My daughter licked the crap out of anything till she was 2.
I had to tell her i dont want advice unless i ask for it. Its not my first rodeo, im sick as all hell(hg). And the "advice" for hg had to stop. Like ive been through it. Nothing stops the constant nausea and vomiting. Im tried and cranky. I was way nicer in telling her no advice. But i have a feeling its not going to be received well.
Yep. And if I can minimize the number of other germs potentially on it especially bc I live in a high covid area and the library can't exactly sanitize things I'll gladly do that. My 5yo has licked her shoe, school bus windows, hair brush, my husband's motorcycle tire, her toes, her shoes.
And that's adorable.
@no062014 hopefully by the time you give birth, things will have calmed down more! My best friend is pregnant now and protocol is completely different than when I had my 1yo. She said they are going to relax a lot more come May!
@m00my2five I wish. The problem is no one stays home around here when sick. My place of employment isn't dropping the mask requirement for patients. Staff don't have to wear them in staff only areas. But everywhere else they do. They re evaluate every 6 weeks or so. But yea my home town I don't see it decreasing much more. Actually had a fire fighter go to the installment banquet with covid and spread it to 56 members and their family members including my 6wk niece 😔
I hate my generation sometimes ?
Today was my nieces baby shower, which went great. She got so much which amazing since she's been working 2 jobs trying to save up for the unpaid leave she'll have to take from work. Anyways I was talking to one of the ladies there since my son and her daughter were playing together. I asked her what her daughters name was, she said it was Layla. I told her that's a really pretty name and asked her if she was a Clapton fan and if she was named after the song. Th...

my baby daddy's ex wife works at the hospital I'm having my daughter she is just a cleaning lady she tell me they let her move the babies around I'm scared this women will take my baby she even tells me if I have my baby early she could see her ever day .. my doctor only delivers at this hospital I don't know what to do . this is why I don't want to have my baby early ..

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know
the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
I'm making a list of things in my head that the 4th and 5th have licked in their lifetime.🤢 I'd love the library book to be on the top of the list but it's not. 4th ran over a worm today and kissed it, guts and all, so it would get better. 😂
