We had Zay’s annual IEP and it was interesting.

I’m on campus all the time and talk to everyone, there’s no drama whatsoever. The principal made it a point to tell me that she wasn’t going to be admin because she was out of town that day, but told me who was. Okay great, I love her she’s really great look forward to seeing her!

I get on zoom to see that the lead psychologist for our charter district is there. She quickly lets me know she is admin for the meeting. I knew right away that the director of special ed put her on my meeting. I also knew she was there to nitpick. She really pissed me all the way off. She would nitpick about how a goal is written. I had to ask her several times why is it that I can fully comprehend what this means, but you can’t seem to? The rest of the team was looking at her like, we don’t get what your problem is either. She got on everyone’s nerves and made the meeting that could’ve been done in an hour take two hours. I had already seen the IEP draft and the goals and only wanted one thing changed from a pull out service to a push in service. This was going to be pretty clear cut and simple and this psych came in and made it more complicated.

History reminder: I took them to an IEE to get a thorough assessment because they tried to take his autism eligibility off the table with almost no data and after only 3 years after his first tri, ummm no for more than one reason. That process led me to get argumentative emails at 9pm, Sunday mornings at 8am from the director of special ed. It got so bad that felt the need to get the SELPA involved and show the superintendent what she’s doing to me because it felt like weekly harassment that went on for almost 5 months, even in the summer. This meant my kids IEP was only good for 4 months and now it was time for his annual again. I’ve been at the table 4 times this school year to advocate for my kid. He’s got all the basics he needs, nothing more or less because I don’t believe in taking more than what’s needed, but I’m tired of having to fight for the basics

I love how I repeatedly told my father in law not to let my daughter root through the toy box because she doesn’t want anything out of it anyway and he keeps picking her up and taking her to the toy box no matter how many times I tell her no and tell him she doesn’t even want anything out of there anyway. At first I told him “only let her get one toy” so she picks one up and he is still holding her over the toy box then tries to put her over the baby gate so she can grab more. I’m sorry but you aren’t the one that has to pick up all these toys. You aren’t the one who has to put them back. He never picks up toys. Everyone wants to get the toys out for her out no one ever wants to help me pick them back up. The fact that I said not to let her get anything out of the box more than 5 times really pisses me off. You may be her grandparent but you aren’t her parent. So now I have mass toys to pic up on top of the toys she already had out from this morning

I can't believe it My cousin stayed with me rent free from September 2015 to April 2016 and her stuff is still in my apartment. She's been saying she was going to come get her stuff for months. She text me this morning saying that she was going to come and get her stuff soon, and I asked her if I could have her air mattress. She tried to charge me $60 for it. The air mattress sells new for $35 on amazon and she didn't even pay $60 for it. I didn't respond and she just text me saying the $60 was for a microwave she bought me and her air mattress. When she got the microwave, it was a gift. Then when my son was in the hospital from October to January out of town, I was going to get my internet service turned off until I returned home. My cousin was doing school work online, so I paid for it while I was away so she could use it. I'm trying to figure out a response to her. ?
