Death conversations with kids is so hard. My sons great grandma is 92 and she had a really big scare yesterday. I believe she’s going to pass soon. She does have dementia and is starting to forget things as well. My son is close to her and was my mom. His other grandma hasn’t been consistent in his life and he will tell anyone that she isn’t a grandma to him and he doesn’t know her. Anyways my son asked me was his great grandma going to forget him. I told him that we have a thing called soul ties and he and grandma ruby are tied together forever even when her mind forgets, her heart remembers and when her body passes her soul will stay connected to him forever. It’s just so sad, he just lost my mom not even 2 years ago. I did explain to him how blessed he is to have had her in his life and to value the time left. He told me he wants to go over there and just sit with her. I told him if she asks the same thing over and over just be patient and keep answering her. 😭😭 life man, it seems so unfair.
