Dad is sedated and declining quickly. Matt and I said our goodbyes on Wednesday and are just waiting to hear at this point. My mom doesn’t want us there now.

I'm sorry to hear that. You and your family are in my thoughts. Like @Itee said, take time for yourself. I had 3 losses last year. An I been struggling lately. That bear made from your dad shirt a good idea. I'm planning to do that for my girls. Got the bear pattern to make myself. But you just gave me the idea to add that voice message to it. I will gift it to my girls with a picture of their grandpa wearing that shirt. Your mom is just going thru a lot of emotions and wants that time with him alone. Big hug.

He’s unconscious and on morphine. Not to much longer. Gonna take a nice, long hot shower and curse the world

I can’t say anything better than @jenx already has. I’m here if you need an ear. Went through it a year ago myself. If I may add just one piece of unsolicited advice it would be to take some time to yourself to grieve along the way. Kids provide a great distraction but try not to block your feelings too much to make it through. I think @jenx and @mswedes, gave me that advice last year and I did not take it.

My oldest is on winter break this week, so I’m unable to be alone right now. But he goes back next week. I plan on sending my youngest as much as I can next week to be home without them

I realized I have no voicemails or anything with his voice so I went through videos last night on my phone and found one of him sending a message to T. I think I’m going to get a bear made from one of his shirts and put the “I love you” from that message inside for the boys
