We're moving to a two story home..how do I put a gate at the top of these stairs. I never did gates with my oldest but the baby is so fast sometimes the stairs scare me.

Mil had one that would swing open at the top of her stairs that worked well. Looked similar to this. My husband had to make one outta wood because a traditional gate wouldn't fit

Not beautiful but get the job done.
I liked the regalo step in gate. But it just wouldn't work on these steps

we built one similar to this as well we had one at top and at bottom with a latch lock

He made it go up and down because she would climb and get a foot hold of it was the other way lol

My husband made these for our last house because we were so terrified of the stairs

My toddler would be able to get a foot hold and climb that one 🤣

lol we added those for the farmhouse look luckily my kids didn’t do that but definitely not needed it’s more for looks lol 😂

Yeah McKenna is my first climber. Which is why we had to get rid of mini loft bed and got a day bed instead. She will find a way.. it's the x part she'll use on yours that she would be able to climb up
