Удаление желчного пузыря: как изменится питание после операции? Опыт и советы

Has anyone had their gallbladder removed? I have to get mine removed soon. Not sure if that will completely change my eating habits or if I have to cut out things that I like to eat. I’ve been feeling s***** since 2021. That’s when I started getting sharp pains on and off on the top right of the stomach and back accompanied by acid reflux, nausea, heart burn and constipation. One time I had to vomit really bad and it felt like the food was stuck in my throat. 😩

I had mine removed 4 months after my first pregnancy. The attacks were horrible! I went into my general doctor and she took my blood and called me that night and told me to go into the hospital ASAP to get it removed. I had JUST had the babies so that was not on my list of things to do and she pretty much told me if I didn't go in, I would end up there soon. I remember that last attack and have no clue how I even lasted that long. 😅 if I eat too late now, I sometimes get acid reflux but I'll take the symptoms I have now compared to the ones I had before when I had it. I was literally doubled over in so much pain not able to do anything for my kids at the time and the pain just kept lasting longer and longer.

That sounds awful. 😩I’m sorry that you had to go through that. At first the doctors told me to go to the er as soon as possible yesterday afternoon, right after I finished having the hida scan but then my gastroenterologist called me back by yesterday evening and told me to hold off on that because I should get a referral instead to speak to a surgeon. I actually think that may be a better idea since I’ve been having problems with my insurance lately where they don’t want to cover certain things, I’m afraid that they may not cover for me to do a walk in to the er for surgery like that. I figure with the referral hopefully they will be able to cover it just as long as I can get it done by sometime this month. I already feel bloated today after having lunch. 😩

@bigfatpigswithakingkong oh, that's a good idea! The er was a little annoying and I had to wait an extra day. Ended up having my sugar drop. 🙄 it was a whole deal. I hope the insurance will cover it! Only plus we had was it was the same year as the babies so we had met our deductible and I don't think we had to pay anything.

My aunt had hers removed and had to make some dietary changes as well. I don’t know the specifics, but have heard her say over the years “oh I can’t have that since my fall bladder was removed” a handful of times. But overall she is much healthier, happier and comfortable since it’s removal.

Thanks for letting me know how it is like for your aunt. Im glad that she is feeling good since she had it removed. 😃
I hope once I get it removed I won’t feel those crazy stomach pains at the top of the stomach or the nausea and acid reflux that I’ve been getting on and off for the last year or so.

I’ve had mine removed. While yes some people have to change some of their diet I did not. Sometimes urgency to use the bathroom is a problem but they have something you can take for that if you ask. Honestly removing that asshole was the best thing I’ve done in a long time. Surgery was pretty easy. Maybe took 3 days to be able to get out of bed alone because my stomach muscles were pissed but otherwise I was fine.

Thank you for letting me know how it was for you. I’m kind of just learning about this. I still don’t know to much about the gallbladder. Does it make you lose weight or gain weight or does your body feel about the same for you how you used to be when you still had the gallbladder?

I found out yesterday that I have 4 stones in the gallbladder and the other test I did today didn’t come out clear. My doctor said that it’s probably infected and best if they take it out soon. Hopefully I can get it done before the end of the month. I noticed that when I eat healthier like less bread and red meat I feel better when I eat more chicken and sea food. I used to eat too much bread and steak and then it would make me feel bloated and have the sharp pains in the top of the stomach and back.

@bigfatpigswithakingkong, i didn’t notice a change in weight one way or the other. I wasn’t hungry the first few days after having it taken out. I also had to be careful with foods prior but don’t anymore. My triggers were more caffeine, greasy anything and salads go figure. I am 100% the same just without the pain the gallbladder caused. But my pains from gallbladder attacks were worse than unmedicated labor. I’d birth 1000 babies before I did gallbladder attacks again. If yours isn’t that bad get it out if they recommend before it does. You will 100% think youre dying once it really goes bad.

@whereswaldo, I had one day that was really bad where I felt like I was dying lol. It was back in august where I had really bad heartburn, acid reflux, nausea, stomach pain and back pain. I was choking on my vomit that day. All I had was half of a burger from a diner but I suffered that bad from it. After that day when I started eating healthier, I started to feel better but the pain would go and come back randomly sometimes lasting me a whole week to sometimes on and off for certain days. I usually take ibuprofen for the pain. Sometimes if the pain is too strong the ibuprofen doesn’t work good. Sometimes I have an excessive amount of saliva that rises up with the acid reflux I hate it. If I don’t spit it out I will feel like I want to puke then. I’m glad I haven’t had that saliva problem for a while. I still get the nausea and acid reflux frequently though. If I’m lucky maybe I can last about 2 weeks at most without feelings the stinging pain from the stomach and back.
