I am not sure if here is the correct spot, but if someone can point me in the right direction of some support. My partner has came to me about the thought of joining the navy. I am supportive of whatever decision he makes, just a little lost on how I will handle everything with the kids. And explaining to them what is going on.
Okay! Thank you 😊I am more nervous about how my kids will handle the change if he goes and what finances will look like.
If you’re in Facebook they have a lot of military spouse support groups. My husband is in the air force and it can be very difficult to explain and have kids understand what’s going on. While he’s in basic you will hopefully be around family? That can help a lot with adjusting. I would mostly be worried about the financial part.
If he decides that he is going, I am biting the bullet and moving back with my parents until I can get on my feet. I am definitely worried about financial issues but my kids don't do well with change. I will look into Facebook thank you 😊
@mynameisteri, that will definitely be help with their adjusting. With the navy I know they deploy a lot on the ships. Usually 3-6 months at a time. I would get as much info as you can to make sure you know what’s going on. Recruiters are not always helpful.
@somebodysmama2 yes thank you! 😊 hoping to have answers by tonight so I can start planning and figuring everything out
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Hi all AF is due 29th Sept for me feels like forever away. Has anyone tested yet or when do you plan on testing x
My daughters father is in the navy and has been for like 10 years. It really depends on what position he is doing in the navy that determines how much he will be out to sea. My daughters dad works in the military hospital. He’s stationed on a medical ship. he deploys but I want to say it’s every other year. I can’t remember. Also they can do what’s called shore duty, sea duty, It’s a lot of different factors that goes into it.
