Anybody have kiddos who were late talkers? My son is almost 10 1/2 months old and still isn’t saying any words. He babbles and is meeting all his other milestones just no words BUT my anxiety is making me over think 😩

My son was about 11 months when he started saying mama. Now he learned to say dada so he stopped saying mama 🤦🏻♀️😩🤷🏻♀️

What is considered talking? Lol, I'm laughing but also serious. You mean just string sounds together? That's all my daughter does, and I wasn't worried 😐 but now... 😅 She'll say mama, not directed at anyone, so just sounds, dada, baba, and I think that's all 😕 she's noisy though, lol, loud little thing

I wouldn’t worry too much just yet, my son didn’t talk until he was 2 years old and then he never stopped 😆
My daughter was much later at talking probably 3ish she been in speech therapy since she started pre-K this year.

Mine didn’t speak simple sentences until he was 4. He’s been getting speech since he was 18 months. You can look into early intervention. Wouldn’t hurt kiddo!
Btw! We don’t expect words until a year old. He might surprise ya.

My oldest was an early talker and didn’t say his first word around then. Don’t worry about it yet. My youngest was a little late and said his first word closer to 2

My daughter. She wasn’t saying a certain amount of words by a certain age so the pediatrician told me to put her in speech therapy and she’s been in it since.

@mommakaylax3, there’s other stuff to it than that like hand, gestures, and repeating back sounds. Can’t remember the age months for that. I think by 20 some months is when they start to be concerned.

oh yes I’m a worry wart so I read into everything. He’s doing everything like he should right now so I’m not overlay concerned just worried. He waves bye and everything and claps his hands ect

That’s a lot for only 9 months lol girl your crazy haha. My daughter was a early talker to and by 2 she was super advanced in talking my other boys said mama and dada around 8 months
