So after about 33ish hours or labor and almost 3 hours of pushing, I had quite a surprise! The ultrasound showed us my baby was girl - surprise! He’s a boy! 😱😂 Welcome to the world, baby Eliyah!

I’m feeling alright. My blood pressure shot up crazy high around the time I started pushing, so I’ve been on a magnesium drip ever since that’s making me all week and out of it. But other than that I’m good!
@llamapantaloons Ugh, so sorry to hear that. I hope you're BP can level out and hopefully you won't get sent home with meds and a follow-up Dr appointment. How's your little one doing?

And he’s doing good! We’re just in the learning stages of trying to breastfeed and soaking in all those newborn cuddles, of course!

Yeah, we’re going to need some more boyish clothes! At least hubby picked out a little black camo onesie a couple weeks ago! That’s about the only boyish outfit!

@llamapantaloons, this happened to a roommate years ago…. She thought she was having a girl and she was so surprised when she had her baby, it was a boy.
@bsandra, I actually had a feeling it was a boy from early on, but then the ultra sound tech was like, “Nope! It’s a girl!” And then voila! When he came out, my doctor surprisingly said, “Oh, he definitely has a lot of boy parts!” 🤣

This was always my first thought when they’d come out was if it’s accurate .. my son was the 4th baby but the first boy so we all were so excited especially my husband but I was so nervous this was gonna happen & it was the first thing outta my mouth when he came out was “IS HE DEFINITELY A BOY?!” 🤣
