@justgotaname, yes and the cold slows production as well. Either way I don’t think the government is intentionally doing something to the food to stop egg production. I told my dad he’s too old for tik tok and stay away from it

@supermomof4, it makes me sad to think about killing all of those birds but I also know that it’s highly contagious and that’s one way to try and stop the spread. 😔

@supermomof4 yep! I got 4 eggs this week, cause it was in the 50s majority of the week. But were back to snow so I probably wont get anymore for a while again. 🤷🏻‍♀️ its normal and has nothing to do with why egg prices raised in the stores.

I really don’t know why they are so high. I read it was because of avian flu but when it was happening last year I was trying to keep up with it and it didn’t seem to spread very far and was contained quickly so I don’t think that’s a valid reason. But when it gets cold egg laying slows way down or stops for awhile, it’s totally normal.
