My kid has 12 whole days of spirit week and I’m partially dreading it 😅 I don’t mind the regular spirit week that only lasts 5 days and I’m excited for some holiday fun buttttt 12 whole days seems like a lot 😂 also, she has special snack day today, reindeer day tomorrow and a winter formal, secret Santa shop on the 8-9, and Christmas breakfast on the 14. Not to mention, her elf on the shelf is back so I have that to keep up with and we start our advent calendar tonight 🫠 I feel like I’m drowning already lol
Holy crap no. I hope my kid doesn't get something like this, I usually don't do them anyway. I don't have the time, patience, money or costumes to do it. Also I just went through this list there's none of those that my kid could do
@mamallama1721 yeah that list is definitely challenging my kid mostly has easy ones there's a couple ones I can never do. Like my kid doesn't have every color of the rainbow clothes so that's why it makes it hard to do and I don't have like costume props here really
@ladyfreyja, my kid is obsessed with pink so most of her wardrobe is some shade of pink 😅 luckily we have a few stragglers that have either been gave to us, bought for a certain reason, or something like that. As far as the costume type, I usually have some kind of crafts stuff to make something simple but it’s definitely a challenge and really exhausting to keep up with 🫠
@mamallama1721, I feel like 5 days of spirit week for Homecoming is too much. I would forget 12 days of stuff, and wouldn’t want to spend $ to get what’s needed for all of these days.
@scruffy.nerf.herder, she has color days for like the first 2-3 weeks of school, a spirit week the beginning of November, and now a whollleeeee bunch of holiday shenanigans until Christmas break which isn’t until the 19th 🥲🫠 I’m sure there’s a few that we’ll not be able to participate in because she’ll either run of motivation for it or we’ll not be able to get what we need for it because I just spent over $20 on Christmas pajamas for the kids and I don’t really want to buy another set just for this lol
Some of these are over the top work for parents and/or going to be unfair to kids who have tight budget in their family. I'm the Scrooge who doesn't like this stuff. Stick to doing ONE holiday program in the gymnasium like we used to do as kids. We had fun, it was an hour, and our parents didn't have to deal with this shat. Not everyone can afford $20 Christmas pajamas.
I would’ve been fine with a simple one of like wear red and green or dress like a reindeer because those are easy and if you need to buy something for it the dollar tree is loaded with things. That’s actually where I got her reindeer headband for tomorrow lol but a lot on the list just seems like a lot to me! We live in a tiny town and most people here don’t have a lot of money. If we need something from a bigger store than the dollar general we have to drive 25-30 mins for a Walmart 😅 I already feel bad for the kiddos that are going to have a hard time participating because I know what that feels like and I hate it for them so much!
