Why I Love Reading and Why I Hate Book Groups
I love to read for fun. I’m not this super deep reader who wants to only read these perfect written books with these deep characters. I want my books like my tv shows 🤣. I hate book groups because they take the fun out of reading. Who cares if people keep posting about an author you find flat or books you think are juvenile? Ma’am I will read junie b jones books when I hit a dry spell with reading. I think reading is amazing and I love to see people enjoying it especially when they are new to the book worm life. So many people just can’t get into reading so if you find something you like read it! I don’t get how people who love to read can book shame other people it’s crazy to me.

@kesh-kesh, Same! I also still read Goosebumps and Fear Street books for comfort. 😂 I love R. L. Stine. He’s still my favorite author.

There are very few books side eye. A book that I love, someone else won’t and vice versa. I’m on like two book groups on facebooks and most of them are just asking for recommendations more than anything. Thankfully!
That’s what’s this one is suppose to be but so many of them just don’t understand the rules I think lol.

@harleyquinn13, they are. I like reading peoples reviews because I can get a feel for the book but I can do without the rants lol

They are! I mean she went off said she’s worried about society with the fact people made Colleen Hoover popular. I was like dang society? I’ve only read a couple of her books but they weren’t so bad that I think society is doomed 😂

I find it pretty hilarious how people who have shown their true colors on social media snake away, delete the posts that outed them and come back on social media like nothing happened. Why do that, you outed yourself, so stay out. We still see you boo boo...

I’m not ashamed to admit that I still read teen books in my 30s. 😂 I just find them much more interesting than a lot of adult books.
