Any suggestions on how to get a 2 y/o off a bottle? She knows how to drink out of regular cups & sippy cups but will not drink milk out of them 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️

@supermomty, good plan! It’ll really start to impact her teeth and bottle rot is another concern. My son had fits for like 3 days after I took his binky but it was manageable.
Honestly at 2 milk isn’t necessary. You can get her the fat and nutrients other ways. I’d just take the bottle. Cold Turkey. If she refuses milk in any other cup I’d up her healthy fats like avocados, bananas, whole fat yogurt, cheese etc. they just recommend milk because it’s the easiest way to get it but it’s not required. Neither of my kids had cows milk (well oldest did for a month of two) and we found other ways. Both are healthy and thriving tween and teenager.
And by cold Turkey I mean remove the bottles from the house so they can’t find them and you can’t cave 😉. Goodluck.
Thanks for your comment! I have thrown out all of her bottles except for one (the one she currently uses). The reason I've kept this one is because I was worried that if I don't give it to her then she'll stop drinking milk altogether which is what happened with my first child. Out of everything you listed she only likes bananas so I'll definitely try that!
@supermomty, at 2 I wouldn’t sweat the milk. If she was 1 or even younger I’d worry more about essential fats for growth but at 2 it slows quite a bit. Just do your best to find what’s healthy yet naturally fatty. Obviously not cookies. Haha. You can add butter (real not margarine) to her foods etc. google it there’s quite the list. But don’t sweat the milk.
How did you all wean your child off the bottle? My daughter won’t drink her milk out of a sippy cup for nothing...but will drink her juice out of one..

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.

After 2 milk isn’t even necessary for healthy fats, you’re not even supposed to give whole milk after 2 as long as growth is steady. I would just take the bottles away and deal with the tantrums. If it’s anything like the binky, it’ll last 3 days.
