One person, other than your children, cannot define you as a parent. She can think whatever she likes that's her perception, and if it is, that's all it is, her perception. Like jenx said, I hope you two can work together to see a positive change in him in the classroom.

You 2 may have very different styles of parenting/teaching but that doesnt mean you are horrible! My kids preK teachers were like this and made me question my life as a mother?! 🤣 Some teachers are strict and expect kids to be little robots, it's tough. I hope you get this all figured out for your sanity and your son to succeed.

She was my daughter's teacher last year and she had a really rough year but she is thriving this year. Jacob had a great year last year and is really struggling this year.

Honestly I would ask him to be moved to another room or bring your concerns up with the principal. You don't need your kid to struggle all year and you feeling like a failure. She sounds like a power pusher kinda teacher.

Or perhaps she is not a good match for him and is the problem. That was our case last year and we pulled A1 from Kindergarten after 9 weeks(should have done so sooner). Teacher was the problem (though I kept giving her the benefit of the doubt) and we have been home educating since. Perhaps see if switching classes helps? And if not then you'll know something is amiss with your son and you can address it better?
