Whats sad is how noone signs up to be a single mom. I lost custody of my child and even though i didnt have her in my house i still was at every visit i called every day an did for her. Her dad is depressed bcuz of his dumb actions now hes taking it out on her an everyone else . He dosent wsnt to be bothered he says but as a mom we have to still be active 100 percent no matter what we go through . Its hard

@teetw0608, it’s good to just explain that it is not her fault, she did nothing wrong. I would not tell her he is coming over or picking her up, until he’s actually present so that she isn’t going through unnecessary disappointment. Therapy is an excellent tool to use for young kids with big feelings dealing with extreme life changes.
Some males just don’t have that instinct. It sucks for sure but at this point he is an adult and you cannot make him participate in her life.
