Has anyone watered down their babies formula to stop middle of the night feedings?
You're just gonna have to stock up on wine and prayers lol. Mine is just now starting to sleep thru the night. I started only giving him water and he use to be pissed off and just go back to bed 🤣 and now he'll drink a lil cause he knows that's all he gets at night now lol. I did have to let him cry a lil when I first did it but he got use to it
I can’t let him cry it out because whoever isn’t up with him has to wake up at 5:30 to open the cafe and my apt is small so the noise travels. But I’m about to just have everyone pull an all nighter because I can’t anymore lol
@jays.mom., okay she’s 1 now and you can cut her off lol if you want to that is! It was hard for us. But like 3 days and he was over it.
@momgroupreject, I don’t want to yet, but even if I did it, she would not leave me alone, and I would not know how to wean her quick. She’s literally attached to my hip.
@jays.mom., I’m gonna need the smell of sleep to start soothing him lmao
You run the risk of water intoxication by doing this unfortunately :( you could offer just plain water in the middle of the night to see if they settle but you aren’t supposed to dilute formula at all.
Thank you! Someone told me to do it and then I read mixed things online so I wanted to double check.
My assistant manager asked me the same and I advised her to not dilute , as you also take away nutritional value.
