What to do for a cold during pregnancy?
Anyone have any cold remedies for pregnancy? I know I cant really have any cold medicines. I feel so blegh. I’m currently making some tea with some honey in it, so maybe that will help my throat a little bit.

@sourpatchkid, 😂 Well, a little tmi here, but luckily my yeast infection is very mild. I really only notice it once every few weeks or so. 😝 But I had my doctor check and yeah, she instantly told me to use the monistat.

nah I’ve heard worse that’s far from tmi. But that’s good it was mild.

@sourpatchkid, Oh I have too! I was using the Eve period tracking app before I got pregnant, and you have to be so careful on this discussion forums. The pictures I’ve seen….. 😬

Definitely a sinus rinse. Either Neti pot or I used the Neil med bottle. Like 3 times a day at least. I also used a ginger shot daily that was recommended on here by @dontblockme… (for some reason her name isn’t popping up when I type that) it was a ginger shot that had cayenne pepper and would clear you up. I am totally hippy dippy when pregnant and don’t want meds but the sinus rinse saved me from serious sinus infection trouble when I had the flu

Thanks! I might have to look into getting a neti pot. I’ve never used one before. But I’ll be looking into it. As for ginger shots…maybe I’ll try. 😂 I hate normal ginger. I dont mind powdered ginger in recipies, but like chunks or pureed, idk how I’d handle that.

nah I’m with you. Ginger is nasty in any quantity and the shots were gross, but at least they were over quickly. I was always just too paranoid to medicate so I tried this, that and the other first. The sinus rinse should be super helpful. I still choose it over meds now even without being pregnant

Thanks! I might have to bust out the humidifier. I dont have a neti pot right now, sadly. I’ll have to pick one up someday.

There are meds you could take, your doctor should have given you a list of meds! Hope you start feeling better soon!

Thanks! I hope so too! And yeah, it says mucinex I’m pretty sure, but I dont have any right now. And Benadryl, which I do have, but I’m trying to go the no medicine route out of my own paranoia. 😂 But if I get desperate enough I might take one.
