Сын считает межрасовые браки неправильными: что делать? Нужен совет!
Yesterday I was watching a tik tok and my son was beside me watching. It was a black lady and a white man who were talking about interracial dating. Now y’all know my sons dad is black and i’m mixed. My son said that you can’t be married to a different race and black has to stay with black and white stay with white. So I asked him who told him that and he said nobody, that’s just what he knows. I asked him who he could be with and he said someone black or white or mixed because he’s all of those. I asked him why he felt how he did and he said he feels like it’s wrong to be with someone you’re not. So i asked him is it wrong I’m with the girls dad and he said yea because he isn’t my skin tone.. y’all i tried to explain to my son that you can be with whoever makes you happy and skin color has nothing to do with who we love. I’m wondering if this is normal for his age or if someone said something to him. Anyone have any advice?

I remember being told this by old old old people at a very young age and questioning my parents about it. My dad did the egg thing, eggs of different colors, cracked them, point being they were all the same on the inside.

I would def keep digging and figure out who told him this. Kids don’t see color until they’re taught that it’s something some people are concerned about. It might be something he saw online as well but kids typically don’t come to this conclusion on their own.

I think someone said something to him, or he saw something, and I'll go out on a limb and say it's not normal for him to inherently believe that. I think it's a teachable moment, because it was once illegal for different races to be with each other. Virginia vs Loving changed things.

My son is being taught it's OK to date black or mixed . My son's dad is black / other mixes and he knows that I'm his mom and that's his dad .
