Research Methods III: моделирование диссертации

Update for me:

Halfway through another semester...

Turned in my methodology section for Research Methods III. I'm super proud of this one. Research lll is the final class before Dissertation time and I modeled this class' assignment to be super close to my dissertation topic so I can leverage my writing from here out.

Feel free to stop reading at any point, but I don't have anyone in my life who is interested in this so I'm posting 😂

The hypotheses are:

Psychological detachment from work is negatively related to burnout.

Psychological detachment from work is negatively related to negative affect.

So, for example, the less a worker gets to psychologically detach from work (via the traditional method of leaving the workplace domain and entering the home domain) the more negative affect and burnout they experience. Virtual workers are especially subject to these situations since they work and live in the same domain.

Also, made some chicken and wild rice soup and sausage balls 😂

Really? Is it that they distance themselves from work and as a result they become annoyed with work faster?

If the employee works virtually and is unable to leave work in the evening like they did at the traditional office, they can burnout and have negative emotions due to not having that mental separation between work and home. Or at least that's what I'm going to see with my experiment

lol, idk why I initially read that employees, even those who go into a physical location, who detach themselves from their work burnout quickly, lol, I thought that was some strange findings 😅

But it makes sense, what you said, lol. That's why, I guess, that it's heavily encouraged to have a separate work space when you work from home, like an office space that you can close and "put away" when you've "clocked out" for the day.

I had figured that people who are always available for work, so those who clock out but people from work are calling them to talk about work, or supervisors calling to discuss work, or people who are practically always on call for work, burnout quickly. I think about the "workaholic," always having the phone glued to their ears, or responding to emails, sending a text, sheesh, even their family members burnout, lol.
