My daughter was never able to lift the cup up on her own so we only used straw cups with her til almost 2. My son had no issues with any of them but seemed to prefer the 360 cup. You just have to try different ones. He’s also still a little young so just give it time.

My daughter would only do the straw cups, and it took a while to transition her over. She was very stubborn every step of the way as a little one, she had to decide to do it and she wouldn't do it one second before she made her mind up that she wanted to. It was like that with cups, utensils, and potty training.

I think Lane will be like this… he wants to drink from “normal” open top cups and cares nothing about a sippy. He will suck a straw if I’m giving him something from one, like from the other end, but won’t even try on a kid cup.

He will very likely just wait until he can coordinate the regular cup and skip sippys altogether. Kids have strong preferences just like adults, probably more so. Like my kiddo never practiced with utensils, she basically left them at the side of her plate, built her coordination with legos, coloring, and play doh, and one day picked them up and ate with them like she had been doing it all along. My MIL was all wound up that something was "wrong" and I was like....wait for it...wait for it....lol

I've used the 360s but usually after 1. I've only used straws....let me see if I can find a video...
