My son has pretty bad hand foot mouth , he has a mouth full of sores and is struggling to sleep, eat, or drink even with meds. And they don’t seem to be getting any better and we’re on day 4? And tips to help soothe his tongue and these sores a little? His tongue is literally swollen from how many he has.

Years ago when my son had it I was told just try to make him comfortable and stay on top of pain meds and offer soft foods. Lots of popsicles, jello, pudding, yogurt, mashed potatoes, soup. Hope he feels better soon!

Thank you! Pain meds don’t seem to be helping and he’s refusing to eat even popsicles and he tries to drink water but it’s not working out so well ): I just did a telehealth and they said unless he’s not producing 2 wet diapers they wouldn’t worry.
