I didn’t want to post on fb because it felt rude. But my poor friend has been homeschooling her daughter since day 1. She’s putting her in school this year but it appears she may be behind according to standardized testing.
I home school Audrey. She did go to kinder but since her last day, we’ve been home schooling all summer.
She’s very far ahead in first grade already because she’s had few breaks. I took a peek at TEKs guidelines and she is already mastering most of them thankfully. Phew! By the time we finish first grade (our goal to be finished by Christmas) she should be able to pass a standardized test fairly easy. I can’t blame the mom, rather the curriculum she chose. Luckily she caught it early on so the kid should be able to catch up no problem.
But so far our curriculum is kicking ass! My kids are kicking ass!
The goal is to finish courses quicker than the school schedule but on her own time. so we can travel on breaks before she starts up a new one. ☺️
I do not have the patience for this lol but hell yeaaa go Audrey!
I had to she was getting bored in class. I made friend with her teacher though so now we text and she helps me. 😚 she even bought this science kit for her!!!
So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that
So it's hard for me because my 16 year old past the test when she was in third grade and my niece passed it last year and now all my daughter's friends will be going to the third grade and she will be repeating and I don't want to send her back to the same school to be bullied because she has to repeat a grade and so I'm looking into other schools but see the thing is you teach her something she gets it then you go back to it and she like I don't know it so frustrating and she likes to wonder of...
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
Idk what to do. My daughter is excited to go to school each day but when she’s actually in school she’s giving the teachers such a hard time. She is constantly running out of the classroom, throws tantrums, tells the teacher no & refuses to do any work. I’m really trying to hold off on pulling her back out but I have no idea what to do. I’ve talk to her several times, I’ve taken all of her toys away, took tv time away, told her she can’t play with her siblings yet she’s still doing what she want...
Ok, so my friend is wanting to get pregnant but..... Her fiancé does not want kids, at lease for another 3-5 years he said... so she came up with the idea to have me pee on a stick for her and show it to him so that he’ll be comfortable with not wearing a condom and finishing in her.. basically the whole idea is to make him think she’s pregnant already...... so I do this favor for her or should I tell my girl to chill?
He and my husband are friends through us and he’s going to invite him over...
That's awesome! Our church academy teaches a homeschool program and the kids graduate knowing 1st grade stuff, plus they were finished with their curriculum about a month early.
