Сколько брать за присмотр за двухлетним ребёнком?

How much should I charge to babysit a 2 yr old? If it makes a difference... I live in upstate NY. She said she will provide food & supplies.

Someone asked me if I could babysit as a backup for when her Mother-in-law can't do it, so it wouldn't be everyday.

It would be from 7:45 am to like 2 or 2:30. If for whatever reason her husband couldn't pick her up after work then the latest would be 4:15-4:30. What do you think is resonable to charge?

I think $40-50 per day is reasonable. But find out if you’ll be expected to potty train because that’ll be a lot of extra work on top of your own kids

I use to charge $20 a day. Monday-Friday.

The drop in rate for my youngest’s daycare is $55/day, but we get a 10% discount so it’s a little more. My oldest’s daycare was $95 for drop in. I’m in NJ

If you know in advance then I would say it would be reasonable to charge what the per diem rate is for local daycares in your area.

I'm not sure what that is, I'll have to Google it. Thank you!

I would say maybe $100-150 per day. You're basically doing it pee diem which is totally different than being ready every day. Don't you want it to be worth your while to be readily available to her.

I cannot imagine charging a mom just trying to go to work for one day that amount if I wasn’t providing food/supplies and some bomb ass activities. That’s so much.

A day??? Omg might as well do daycare for that price. I think what the above person said 40-50 is plenty.

@jays.mom., my son has a backup provider for emergencies and even then it’s $55/day bc that’s her drop in rate. She provides breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks.

@luna_bear, plus she is providing all food… so ya, to watch a kid $7/hour is plenty.

@momgroupreject, I just think daycare is different than a babysitter. Sitters around here charge about $12/hour

@luna_bear, which is ridiculous to me bc it’s untaxed. When you’re making a flat wage without taxes taken out $7/hour is more like $10/11

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

Will your Mom be in the delivery room?

Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.

What would you do? - baby shower

What would you do? - baby shower SO my mom has been very negative about the baby my entire pregnancy. Especially in the beginning, she said the most HORRIBLE things about me, my DH and my unborn baby. Like that I was making a big mistake, that I was making her 2015 the worst year ever... etc etc. Even when she would do nice things she made me feel like I was a HUGE inconvenience and a burden to her. She told me to definitely NOT expect a shower or anything like that from her. Fine, whatever, I don't need her, I didn't have this baby for her to raise. I'm married, living on my own and paying all my own expenses.

I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
